You Look Like Me Setup Table To Interact With Blackburn's Students At Halloween Festival
On October 29, 2025, YLM showed up in celebration of community, connection, and
youth empowerment at the Miss Omega Service Court’s Fall Festival hosted at
Blackburn Middle School.
With one of their own, Paige Cason of Jackson State University serving as a member
of the Miss Omega Service Court, YLM’s presence was more than participation; it was
support, unity, and pride in action.
Setting up a table in the heart of the festivities, YLM became part of a day filled with
laughter, games, candy, and joyful moments shared between students, families, and
community leaders.
But beyond the fun, the day reflected something deeper.
It highlighted the power of young leaders creating spaces where children feel seen,
safe, and celebrated. Through simple interactions, shared smiles, and intentional
presence, YLM helped contribute to an environment where joy and belonging took
center stage.
Sometimes impact isn’t grand gestures, it lives in the small moments where community
shows up for one another.
YLM showed up to celebrate, support, and stand alongside one of their own while
uplifting the next generation.
