Avaughn Johnson, Founder
After losing his father at age three and his mother at fifteen, Avaughn used those experiences as motivation to create opportunities for others in his hometown. A former top-10 basketball player in Mississippi, he graduated from Murrah High School with a 4.4 GPA and a 27 ACT score before attending Jackson State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Physical Therapy. Through leadership experiences in organizations such as Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, Men of Excellence, and Blue Streak Mentoring, he developed a passion for mentorship and community impact. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sport Management at University of West Alabama while continuing to grow You Look Like Me.

Sa'Nya Griffin, Co-Founder
Sa'Nya Griffin is a first-generation college graduate and passionate advocate for mentorship, leadership, and community impact. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Jackson State University, graduating Cum Laude, and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Sport Management at Louisiana State University. Throughout her academic and leadership journey, Sa’Nya has remained committed to creating opportunities that inspire and empower the next generation. Her passion for representation, education, and service continues to drive her work in making a meaningful difference within her community.

Zamiya Warner
Zamiya Warner is a Pearl High School graduate and Magna Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. At Mississippi State, she served as S.P.A.R.K Director, Co-Director of Staff Training, Presidential Endowed Scholar, Kinesiology Student Ambassador, and Brickfire Mentor. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Zamiya has used leadership, service, and perseverance to create her own lane. She is currently attending nursing school at the University of West Alabama to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Through her journey, Zamiya hopes to inspire others to believe they have the strength to overcome life’s obstacles and keep moving toward their purpose.
