You Look Like Me Held A Voter Registration Drive at Mississippi College
On November 3, 2025, under the leadership of founder and CEO Avaughn Johnson,
YLM brought vision into action to turn conversation into action at Mississippi College
during All Vote No Play Day.He spearheaded and led a Voter Registration Drive centered on one powerful message: "your voice matters"
Throughout the day, YLM engaged students in meaningful conversations about the
importance of being registered and the impact of participating in the voting process.
What began as dialogue quickly became commitment, as students took steps toward
civic engagement.
By the end of the drive, over 30 students had registered to vote each name representing
not just participation, but empowerment.
The event also created space for already registered voters to stand in solidarity by
signing a pledge wall, reinforcing the shared responsibility of using one’s voice.
More than a registration effort, the drive was a reminder that change begins with
awareness and grows through action.
